  1. In the sixteenth chapter of the first book I think we have just started to know about the Nancy´s complex personality: she found and kidnapped Oliver but she protected him from Fagin´s blows too. While she was flying into a rage, she also told her partners in crime that she was a prisoner of a way of life which she didn´t like.
